Lágrima 2019 is a white wine from the D.O. Lanzarote produced by Bodegas Martinón. This single-variety wine of the volcanic Malvasia variety is the house’s special selection brand.

The grapes are harvested manually and selected on the plot itself, it comes from farms with vines that are close to 80 years old and planted in the heart of La Geria. Once destemmed, the grapes undergo maceration. The Lágrima must is the one obtained from the natural draining, it does not have a press. After settling, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Finished fermentation is carried out on the lees for several months.

It is a very frank wine with great aromatic intensity. At a still glass, white flowers, almond and stone fruit (peach, apricot) and exotic fruits (pineapple) appear. Aromatically it is a very complex wine. In the rough glass, nuances typical of the geria appear (light smoke, minerals typical of the volcanic terrain), an aromatic nuance characteristic of the terroir of the vineyard in this area.

On the palate it is very intense, mineral and above all creamy. It has a long aftertaste, with persistent mineral nuances. Memories of nuts appear (almonds, hazelnuts). Wine with great personality and complexity provided by the terroir of La Geria.
